Three Normandale employees honored as Changemakers and Pioneers by the City of Bloomington

On February, 29, the City of Bloomington honored three Normandale employees as Bloomington Pioneers and Changemakers. Academic Advisor and Retention Specialist Howard Odor (Pioneer), Bookstore Manager Chris Peterson (Changemaker) and Upward Bound Advisor Kenny White (Changemaker) were part of a group of 10 individuals who were honored as part of the Awards Ceremony.

The City of Bloomington had previously honored Normandale President Joyce Ester (Pioneer in 2023), Director of Sirtify Marvis Kilgore (Changemaker in 2022), and Academic Advisor Njia Lawrence-Porter (Changemaker in 2022).

Bloomington Pioneers and Changemakers is an annual profile series that features Black leaders who are working to advance civil rights and remove barriers to equity in the fields of criminal justice, economic development, education, faith, government, health, house, and more.
